The Triangle’s (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) economic growth is still continuing, but at a slower pace.
Fortunately, over the past 5 years, North Carolina has had over 500 corporate relocations to the State, so that has really increased the hires although it is somewhat skewed when we speak specifically to Triangle career opportunities. Fewer candidates are available on the market to make career moves that include relocation to the area and are deciding to sit tight as fears of the recession grow. That said, Companies are still hiring and Career Foundations remains very busy with placing many confidential roles within Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Human Resources. We are also wondering when the recession will hit us locally, because we know it is just a matter of time before hiring will begin to freeze. However, this is a great time for candidates interested in making a confidential career move to be placed in a better opportunity where there is both financial alignment with current market demands and security from a career growth perspective.
